Gyunabe Ukon

The shop "Gyunabe Ukon," reminiscent of a castle, borrows the name of Ukon Takayama and welcomes visitors to Hakone with delicious gyunabe (beef hot pot). Ukon offers private rooms, table seats, and proudly features riverbed seating. While feeling the babbling sounds of the Sukumo River below and surrounded by plenty of negative ions, you can leisurely enjoy carefully prepared gyunabe. The gyunabe is prepared by soaking a generous amount of Ukon's special sauce into an iron pot, then adding specially selected Wagyu beef from Nagasaki. Ukon's style is to finish the dish lightly without using lard. The piping hot meat coated with a richly sweet sauce melts in your mouth before you even have time to chew.
